What is Vertigo?

When is dizziness vertigo?

Vertigo is the unpleasant (often, very frightening) sensation of the world rotating, often associated with nausea and sometimes even with vomiting.

This is distinct from the lightheaded feeling that some may feel when standing up too quickly, which is related to blood pressure and blood flow to the brain.

The most common cause is an inner ear condition called BPPV - Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. This can generally be quickly diagnosed and treated right here in the office. If you think you are experiencing vertigo, we can help you!
